The Union: Enb and Nye

THE SIBLINGS

Nye and Enb are both children of Nif and Syns, with Nye being the eldest by two years.Being the first born, Nye received more attention and care from Nif, leading them to be very self assured and warm. Unfortunately, Syns was practically out of the picture, leaving Nif to care for both of the kids, something that Nif found arduous to balance.In the end, Nif leaned towards Nye for a multitude of reasons; overall Nye was a bright kid despite being so young, something that Nif knew they had to nurture to ensure that Nye's brilliance doesn't diminish. Secondly, Enb had trouble understanding things and was considered a slow learner, something that gave Nye the upper hand in the battle for Nif's affection (Perhaps battle is a strong word because it implies both sides are actively working against each other).
Lastly, Nif found themself subconsciously distancing from Enb because of Enb's uncanny resemblance to Syns (especially in Enb's younger years).Despite that, Nye's role as the eldest still required them to look after Enb, which did cause a strain in their relationship. Children being children, Nye much preferred to do things without the need to constantly look over their shoulder. This led Nye to see Enb as a burden and a possible candidate for Nif's attention– but they knew they still had to carry out their responsibility as per Nif's wishes– and Nye would hate to upset Nif.Enb's view on the matter wasn't as intense as Nye's. For the most part, Enb strayed away from Nif's attention, knowing of Nye's jealousy and Nif never really… Enb knows the length of Nif's patience. (That and you'll never miss something that you've never felt, which in this case is Nif's affection)(It's alright, Enb had the unfortunate experience of Syns’ ‘affection’)In their early years, Enb and Nye's relationship wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. For the most part, Nye got what they wanted and Enb was still cared for by various caretakers. The two of them weren't close, and the time they spent together began to decrease over the years.
This was because Enb began to stay over at a relative's (Lih's) place instead while Nye was still under Nif's care.

However, this rift didn't last long.Nif's passing led to the instability of Nye's livelihood (this is around early secondary/late primary school); needing to move around between relatives and learning how to live on their own, all the while grieving Nif's abrupt departure. This took a toll on Nye's state, physically and mentally, and affected their academic performance, further spiralling them.
Despite the strained relationship Nye had with Enb, Enb stood by Nye's side throughout it all, providing Nye a sense of purpose to fulfil Nif's request for Nye to look after Enb.At a certain point, Nye uncovers the sickening truth behind Lih and finds a way to get them away from Enb once and for all.Now, Nye and Enb are finally reunited, with Nye's newfound determination get out of their situation, find greener pastures where the two of them didn't have to live in constant uncertainties; the room they occupied was still in Syns' home, and there was no stable income, requiring Nye to think of ways to put food on the table while still keeping up their grades– exhausting but if it weren't for Enb's sake, Nye wouldn't even try at all.The two of them were extremely close at this point, having been through thick and thin. They knew each other like no one else.Once Nye graduated, they were accepted into a prestigious university all the way in Home.And so, the two of them were separated once more.Unable to find a way to bring Enb with them, Nye had to leave them behind, all on their own.And Nye knew Enb better than anyone, so they knew Enb wouldn't be able to make it on their own.
So Nye made a deal with a long time friend (Ref) to help look after Enb.

With another separation, Nye and Enb’s state began to deteriorate– but it wasn't so bad this time;Nye's first semester started off rocky, but gradually, they regained their footing and found their own path in life.
Enb struggled to get their bearings for a few years, before eventually pulling themself up by the bootstraps and moving away to SF. Unfortunately, Nye's departure left a bad impression on Enb who had made the decision to cut contact with Nye entirely.For the next decade or so, the two of them lived separately unaware of how the other was fairing. (Somewhere along the way, Nye lost contact with Ref, leading them to really have no clue what happened to both Ref and Enb).
Things went as smoothly as it could until Nye lost someone close to them once more.And with no knowledge of where Enb was, or if Enb was even alive, Nye found themself going down a familiar dark path.Baby Hotline references this and implies that Nye was moments away from ending it all before the music they were listening to was interrupted by an advertisement. An advertisement that featured someone awfully familiar.
This discovery gave Nye hope to continue on, reconnecting with Ref who miraculously was still looking after Enb as per Nye's request.But Nye hadn't made any attempts to actually contact Enb, grateful to just know that they were okay and successful on their own.

Until the two of them crossed paths in one of the White Fox’s gatherings.It's important to note the impact that the White Fox has on the two siblings.
The White Fox represents easy wealth with a large price to pay. Money is the root of all evil, something Nye and Enb had sworn off to resorting to when they were little.The glimmer of gold was tempting, but they knew there was more to it.No matter what Nye and Enb promised to never accept the gold.Until they gave into it.Along Nye's career, they were persuaded into it by their supervisor (Professor Seele). After all, the White Fox promised Nye the comfort of financial stability while they worked on their true passion.Enb however, took many loans from the White Fox (especially early on in their career), and still has the White Fox as an investor.And finding out that they've both broken the oath.Comparatively, Enb is more bound to the White Fox, making it difficult for them to escape its influence.

Nonetheless, they couldn't deny how relieved they were to finally find each other once more. Things went well for a while, but their underlying connection to the White Fox would soon taint the waters, causing a conflict between them.
This leads to Enb finding out that Nye had sent Ref out to look after them (this also affected Enb’s relationship with Ref), and it ended with Enb leaving. (Refer to The Renaissance)In the end, the conflict finally resolves once both of them cut ties with the White Fox.However, peace can only last so long.

THE ROGUES

This plotline follows Tex, the youngest sibling of Nye and Enb, and Lyr.After CPS took Tex away from their family, Tex ran through a few foster families before eventually being returned to an orphanage, the very same one Lyr had been dropped off at. There weren’t a lot of Eps in the orphanage, leading Tex to be outcast by the rest (and their geeky persona didn’t help either).
Lyr too had everyone avoiding them, but not for the same reason; Lyr is hot headed and easily riled, leading them to get into physical fights all the time.The unlikely pair soon grew close. Initially, Lyr found amusement in boasting, seeing as Tex was a lot younger and looked up to Lyr as an older sibling, but eventually Lyr took up the responsibility that came with being around Tex. Lyr guided Tex throughout the unstable and chaotic lifestyle they both chose for themself, a life of crime, a life on the edge.Lyr’s ragtag gang grew, with more members joining in, and under the guidance of Wrath, they established a renowned group in the slums of Home.
Lyr was the mastermind, plotting heists and attacks, targeting the rich and powerful as a self righteous act of justice, while Tex laid out the path to every mission’s success.Lyr’s story is yet to be expanded on, but for the time being, know that Lyr holds great animosity towards Nuouos; the Chief Executive Officer of Binary; a multimillion conglomerate that manufactures electric appliances and devices.Most of the missions that Lyr's group conducted revolved around sabotaging and disrupting the businesses of wealthy companies, swearing an oath to not harm anyone deemed ‘innocent’.
However, Lyr’s morality begins to skew and diverge from Tex’s moral standing, with Lyr leaning to greater extremes in the fight for justice.This conflict of ideals inevitably led to a fracture in Lyr and Tex’s relationship, the tipping point being a moment where Lyr and Tex had successfully cornered Nuouos, the aforementioned CEO that Lyr had been targeting.
Lyr demanded Tex to be rid of Nuouos once and for all, however, Tex was reluctant to pull the trigger. A fight broke out and not only allowed Nuouos a window of escape, but also for Lyr to be captured and sentenced.After that incident, Lyr severed ties with Tex, casting them out of the gang the two of them were in and Tex was left to be on their own.
